Abstract

In the prologue of the General Law of Education of 1970 it could read: "The success of a reform like the one that is now being undertaken will only be possible with a new and enthusiastic mentality in those who have to direct and apply it." Although more than 50 years have passed, these words are still very relevant today. However, throughout this time we have had several educational curriculuma and laws that have never been applied in their entirety in a signifcant percentage of the classrooms of our State. There are many factors that have led to this fact, but for a curriculum to be applied in the classroom, it must frst be understood by the teachers who have to apply it. The aim of this article is to explain the structure of the new LOMLOE curriculum so that teachers understand the relationships and hierarchies that exist between its curricular elements, the assessment, and the methodologies necessary for its application, the coeducation and the attention to diversity.
