This scientific journal is regulated by the international standards published by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). In turn, it is based on the Best Practice Guidelines for Editors of Scientific Journals, and the Publication Ethics Resource Kit (PERK), developed by the Elsevier publishing group https://www.elsevier.com/about/policies/publishing-ethics, in order to ensure transparency both in the publication of contributions and in the associated conflict resolution procedures. https://www.cambridge.org/core/about/ethical-standards.

Peer reviewers

They should bear in mind:

  • Declare conflicts of interest or disqualifications.

  • Adhere strictly to the policies of the journal's review process.

  • Respond to requests and submit reviews in a timely manner.

  • Provide a methodical and rigorous evaluation, as expected, given the peer reviewer's level of expertise.

  • Respect the confidentiality of information related to the editorial process.

Editor

Its functions will be based on:

    • Ensuring the transparency of the contributions and the evaluation and publication processes.

    • Ensuring objective dialogue and confidentiality of the parties involved in the editorial process.

    • Respond promptly and respectfully to questions and notifications.

    • Ensure compliance with international standards of ethics, research and publication in all scientific and editorial processes related to the review.

The Code of Ethics of Supervisión21 refers to the following aspects:

I) The journal's policies on authorship and contribution.

II) Handling complaints and appeals.

III) Conflict of interest/competing interest policies.

IV) Data sharing and reproducibility policies.

V) Ethical Oversight Policy.

VI) Intellectual property policy.

VII) Privacy policy.

VIII) Anti-Plagiarism Policy

IX)  Journal options for post-publication discussions and corrections.



I) Publication in the journal Supervisión21, due to its free nature, does not entitle authors to any financial remuneration. Authors will not receive any fee or financial compensation for the publication of their texts.

Authors are entitled to receive certification of authorship of the publication.

Once the corresponding issue has been published, authors have fifteen calendar days to communicate corrections of their text, duly justified, by e-mail to the editorial board.

II) The journal Supervisión21 is not responsible for the ideas and opinions expressed by the authors of the published texts, except for the publisher. Any complaint in this respect should be addressed to the authors of the work causing the complaint or discrepancy.

 

IIIIn the event of detecting malpractice in the preparation of the texts submitted the editorial board will decide not to publish it.

 

IV) The authors of the texts cede their reproduction rights to Supervisión21, and may include these works in future compilations, both digital and in printed media published by USIE, which will always cite their origin and authorship. However, for any use other than publication in Supervisión21, the editorial board should consult with the author(s) of the text.

Readers may reproduce and distribute the published texts provided that:  

  1. it is done for non-commercial purposes;

  2. no alterations are made to the content of the published text;

  3. full details of the published text are given name of the author, title of the article, review or study, issue, month and year of the journal Supervisión21.

  4. If the editorial board is informed of any accusation of malpractice in the preparation and/or research of a published text, it will proceed to verify the allegation; if confirmed, the editorial board will proceed to remove the text from all databases with the publication of the corresponding retraction. Furthermore, it is subject to Directive 2001/29/EC on the harmonization of copyright in the information society at European Community level.

However, the author will communicate to the journal's management that he/she accepts the journal's specific license related to the reproduction, distribution, and public communication of his/her work (Creative Commons Licenses: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/?lang=es_ES.

This license allows others to remix, adapt and build upon your work on a non-commercial basis, as long as they credit you and license their new creations under the same terms.

 

  1. Supervisión21 is an open access publication, which does not deny intellectual property or authors' rights to their articles; on the contrary, it respects them. Therefore, authors are authorised to disseminate their texts published in the journal in any other medium (institutional repositories, blogs, or personal web pages, etc.), or support if it is without commercial purposes and mentioning that the work has been edited in this journal and informing the editorial board. The author will be informed of these circumstances.

The publication complies with all national regulations related to Intellectual Property in all its terms. Intellectual property is protected by the following lawsRoyal Legislative Decree 1/1996Intellectual Property Law, and its amendments Law 21/2014, which transposes the content of European directives into Spanish law, and Law 2/2019. https://www.boe.es/buscar/doc.php?id=BOE-A-2019-2974

Dissemination will always take place after publication in the journal, in no case before revision, layout or at the correction stage. These measures are taken to encourage the reading and citation of the article, and thus achieve a greater and faster dissemination of the published text.

IV) Privacy statement: Names and e-mail addresses entered in this magazine will be used exclusively for the purposes stated by this magazine and will not be made available to any other purpose or person.

VIII) Anti-Plagiarism Policy. Supervisión21 has a verification process using anti-plagiarism software that will be applied to the final version, after the blind peer review process, to all texts that are submitted. Each author is responsible for having verified the anti-plagiarism system that he considers prior to submitting his collaboration.
