Abstract
In 1849, the first education inspectorate was created by moderate and authoritarian liberalism. In the process of building an administrative and conservative State, its structure was organized, its functions and attributions were established, as well as the ways of communicating with the authorities and educational centers. Since then, despite the crises suffered and the changes assumed in the transition from a dictatorship to a decentralized democracy, its essential parts have survived until now.
