Abstract

Affective-sexual education enriches healthy personal and sexual development, which is a key to building a more egalitarian and democratic society. The purpose of this article is to review the literature on affective-sexual education in Spain to account for the state of the issue and to help explain why the debate around remains open. The objective is not only to present the diversity of divergent approaches but also to capture the inherent tensions in relation to the implementation of affective-sexual education in Spain.
