Abstract
This paper aims to present a professional competence management model, born from the Andalusia Inspectorate of Education’s need to develop the General Action Plan for the 2019-2023 period. The goal of the model’s approach is to provide a useful tool that will allow for the Educational Inspectorate to become more dynamic and flexible as an organisation. To this end, it separates the organisation of work —Process Management— from the organisation of people — Professional Competence Management— while concurrently linking education inspectors as the sole protagonists of the development of the processes included in the General Action Plan and of the processes of change following the detection of needs and/or new demands regarding Andalusia’s Educational Inspectorate. It has been applied to civil servants who wish to enter the Educational Inspection Corps during the 2021-2022 academic year internships phase, and the results obtained will be used to derive the appropriate lines of progress.
