Abstract
The protection of personal data is an area that has undergone significant regulatory development in the last few years, driven by the approval of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, which led to the enactment of the law currently in force on the matter: the Organic Law 3/2018, December 5. In the management of an educational centre, both in the purely administrative and pedagogical aspects, a large volume of personal data of special sensitivity is handled. With citizens increasingly aware of their rights in the field of data protection, situations arise in which alleged violations of such rights are reported and the intervention of the educational inspection becomes necessary, either in the field of advice or to make injunctions or reports with proposals in the disciplinary sphere.
This article presents a practical case of a real situation of a citizen's request for advice, resulting ultimately in the need to make an inspection report, with a series of advice and request proposals.
