Abstract

It is intended to show that education through art plays an important role in the educational system. This encompasses different artistic disciplines: theater, music, plastic arts, dance, which can be valuable pedagogical tools to be implemented in class, since they contribute to positive changes in students, improving attitude, performance, emotional well-being; they also promote creativity, sensitivity and imagination. In particular, it focuses on music as an educational tool as a link in difficult contexts such as the COVID-19 pandemic. An updated bibliographic review was carried out in search of data and evidence that would provide us with information on music education in the process. teaching-learning. Important contributions were found from authors who agree that music in education leads to the construction of reflective beings, aware of the need to transform their reality to live better, capable of respecting themselves and others, while receiving a comprehensive training aimed at human development that results in improving students’ self-esteem, self-confidence, as well as the assertive management of emotions to overcome difficult moments that arise in human life
