Until quite recently, the concept of assessment in the education field was associated with grading and punishment. Nowadays teachers understand that “assessment is a different thing”. Assessment allows us to improve our teaching practice as well as other inherent elements to the teaching-learning process. Within this context, we consider that evaluation sessions and evaluation reports become essential in our daily chores. Both teaching staff meetings and family reports are an important side to the teaching-learning process and we consider that we have to reflect on them. How are we doing? Is there any way to improve our teaching practice? In order to do so, we provide a series of indicators that are meant to help the teaching staff think about whether Reports and Evaluation Sessions bring enough qualitative information to the table so that the learning process can be improved.
