This work aims to carry out a cross-sectional, non experimental exploratory study on the job satisfaction of pre-school and primary education teachers of Spain. The study analyses aspects of their work, such as positions of responsibility, interrelationships, facilities and resources of the school, their training, labourissues, the assessment of their work and the harassment, abuse or aggression experienced. To this purpose we have carried out an online consultation by means of an ad hoc protocol that has been filled in by 713 teachers. We have performed descriptive analyzes, the media difference and multivariate analysis (factorial exploratory analysis, EFA and confirmatory CFA). The Cronbach’s reliability coefficient is .957. The CFA index are PCMIN/DF=1.706, NFI=.912, CFI=.961, GFI=.872, TLI=.955, RFI=. 898, PNFI=.787, RMSEA=.049. The model has a good internal consistency and adequate goodness-of-fit indexes. Teachers show a medium-high satisfaction in their relationship with the students, facilities, resources, work environment, organization and information. Their satisfaction concerning the assessment from the administration is medium-low. They have experienced harassment, abuse or aggression. It is necessary to improve the relations with the administration and establish systems to suppress abuse. This paper may contribute to improve their personal and professional situation and the quality of the education.
