Abstract
As described in the text itself, the book analyzes the modern phenomenon of education from a predominantly political perspective,studying both the problems that concern governments today and the different ideologies that underlie educational policies, paying special attention to the Spain of democratic reinstatement. In this way, the collective actors, the reforms of the educational systems, the policies of freedom and equality, the welfare state and education, as well as the great laws of Spanish democracy and the complex relationship between the autonomous state and today ́s Spanish education are analyzed here. At the end of the book, a glossary with concepts and categories typical of the field of politics is included, as well as a wide bibliography.
