The meetings held between the representatives of the Portuguese union SIEE (Sindicato de Inspetores de Educação e do Ensino) and the team responsible for the area of Foreign Action of USIE, throughout the first third of 2021, have allowed to profile the labor and administrative realities that determine the lines of union action of both organizations in their respective countries. The process of mutual knowledge developed during the first months of the year has been agreed by both trade unions, understanding it as a necessary pre-decision step on future cooperation and collaboration agreements. This article is a sample of the joint work that has been developed and that is useful to focus on elements and aspects in which the respective contexts and educational systems coincide and on which future action lines may be developed at European level.
