Abstract

The “Covid-19 and Education” Collection published by the Cotec Foundation includes, thus far, three reports that analyze the educational situation resulting from the outbreak of the pandemic and the schools lockdown, offering proposals and policy solutions to guide and support the educational administration in its work of drawing up legal frameworks, plans, initiatives and strategies.

The first report – Problems, Responses and Scenarios – analyzes the political solutions implemented in Spain and other countries, and offers a series of proposals adapted to five possible scenarios for a return to face-to-face activity in schools. The second – Home schooling and inequality – shows that the inequalities in equipment and preparation that exist between families, schools and teachers are widening the digital learning gaps that already existed before the crisis, as well as creating new ones. And the third and last report published – The response of the Administrations – compiles and analyzes the regulations published by all Spnish regional administrations for the 2020-2021 school year.
