The issue 58 of the journal Supervisión 21, October 2020 published the article «Education Regulation and Covid 19: A Process in Progress». On 1 December 2020, COTEC Foundation published the study «COVID-19 AND EDUCATION». The foundation’s extensive analysis takes up and complements the previous study published.

Offering a safe school environment and mitigating the effects of COVID-19 in education was, and still is, the challenge that the Government and the Autonomous Communities have faced at the beginning of the 2020-21 academic year. In this direction, the Ministry set out some general lines of action on the pedagogical organization in the 2020-21 academic year, established in the Sectorial Conference held on 11 June 2020 and in the «Guide to Prevention, Hygiene and Health Promotion Measures for Schools in the 2020-21 academic year» published on 22 June 2020.

Prior to the start of the school year, with the oversight of these ministerial indications, all the Autonomous Communities, including the cities of Ceuta and Melilla, set the guidelines for schools, based on the autonomy conferred on them by the regulations, to design and implement an action plan including organizational and student care measures.

This study presents the main measures implemented by the Education Administrations, i.e. the seventeen Autonomous Communities plus the autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla, analysed in three areas: Curriculum- related, health and organisational measures.
