Abstract
Article dedicated to José Antonio Palacios Garrido, in memory and tribute to him. His vital and professional trajectory stands out, especially his contribution to the creation of USIE (former USIE name) through his management within the Hermandad of Technical Inspectors of Education (HIEP) in 1978. Finally, the demonstrations of his colleagues are incorporated before his loss on October 4, 2020.
