Abstract
The authors, who are known for their analyzes and theories on educational change, present in this book the proposal of a movement to transform education. They are
convinced that this transformation is one of the most important challenges facing today’s society.
The core of his transformative proposal is “professional capital”, which, in turn, integrates three other types of capital: human, social and decision-making.
Parallel to the presentation of his proposal, the attempts at reform that have been unsuccessful are analyzed and, above all, they offer sound alternatives that are articulated
on the structure that they confer on the concept of professional capital. Finally, they offer very specific guidelines and guidelines to national teachers, principals and managers,
so that it is possible to create professional capital and put it into circulation.
