Abstract

The ET2020 European cooperation strategy for education and training aims to promote equity, social cohesion and active citizenship. One of its benchmarks is the rate of early school leaving in education and training, which should be less than 10% between 18 and 24 years of age. This has made us think of the work that still needs to be done in many EU countries. Education inspectors can and should participate in European projects to get to know the educational reality of other neighbouring countries, exchange experiences, and implement them in Educational Centres in order to improve data on absenteeism, qualifications and therefore social and labour inclusion. USIE has launched within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme, the KA201 project “STOPPING EARLY SCHOOL LEAVING AS A MEANS TO PROMOTE SOCIAL AND WORK INCLUSION”.

Our European partners are: Poland, Turkey, Portugal and Slovakia.

The main objective of the project is to improve the social and labour inclusion of our young people through improved training, reducing school drop-out and increasing the degree rate.

In October 2019, the coordinator carried out the initial training day in Albacete in

charge of SEPIE and on October 24, 2019 the Erasmus + ESL National Team was constituted in Seville within the XX Meeting of Education Inspectors.
