Abstract

The general use of instant messaging systems and social networks have consequently provoked that many people do not know how to communicate with each other properly, as these technologies do not allow face-to-face interaction in the same physical space. This fact makes possible the perception of complementary non-verbal information which is important to understand messages perfectly. From the early years it is necessary to learn how to communicate fluently with others and the school plays an essential role on it. This can be done by creating a methodology of cooperative work in the classroom, since it provides students with several opportunities to interact with each other.
